Please Stay Safe & Check on Your Neighbors! BPECA will have Volunteers Shoveling Sidewalks and Other Areas when the Storm is Over.

Good Afternoon Neighbors,
1 – Below is an advisory from the Community Affairs Bureau of the NYPD advising citywide closures and emergency response. Please read.
2 – Bronx Park East Community Association is coordinating Volunteers to shovel sidewalks and other high-priority locations in the Pelham Parkway/Allerton community to ensure the safety and smooth passage of our streets once the blizzard is over.
This shoveling will most likely occur Wednesday.
– If you or someone you know is in need of their sidewalk shoveled, please text or call me at (347) 654-7044 or B-PECA member Diana Finch at (917) 544-4470 as soon as possible and we will try to get our snow-shovelers to you.
Please pass this information on to the elderly and disabled in your building or on your block. Every ounce of care matters.
– If you or someone you know is willing to volunteer to shovel snow, please text or call the numbers above, as well. Community Service Hours will be given, with written documentation. That means you, students.
– We may need shovels too! To borrow, of course. So if you have extra, please contact us, so we can have as many shovels as volunteers.
3 – Until then, here is a MUST-read article for all apartment-renters and tenants in the Bronx.
Please find time read it during your “Snow Day” off tomorrow. It is very informative.
Stay safe, warm, and keep in touch!
