On Wednesday, October 14, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted a press conference encouraging cyclists from all over the region to participate in the 21st annual “Tour De Bronx,” the largest free cycling event in New York State. The greatly anticipated event is co-hosted by the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation, The Bronx Tourism Council, the Bronx YMCA, Montefiore Medical Center, St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx Lebanon Medical Center, Coca Cola and Domino’s. The ride culminates at the New York Botanical Garden, where riders will enjoy refreshments and a concert.

On Tuesday, October 13, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., in partnership with Charito Cisneros of the New York Hispanic Cosmetology and Beauty Chamber of Commerce, hosted the 13th annual DiVA Spa, an event designed to bring domestic violence awareness information to Bronx residents while offering a free day of beauty and spa treatments. The event took place at Veterans’ Memorial Hall in the Bronx County Building.
