Students at Preston High School were presented with a $1,000 check for participating in Optimum Community’s seventh annual “Charity Champions” program that promotes volunteerism and encourages area high schools to raise funds for a charity of their choice. The check was donated to Miracle Hands, the students’ charity of choice; NYC Councilman Jimmy Vacca also participated.
