MARIPOSA & THE SAINT:

FRIDAY, JUNE 10TH, 7PM sharp

New Settlement Community Campus, 1501 Jerome Ave., enter through Goble Place entrance

A one-woman play about solitary confinement and justice.  Join us for this powerful play and discussion.

Admission is FREE.

In 2012, Mariposa was sentenced to fifteen-months in isolated confinement. Years later, she is still there. Through letters with longtime friend and current collaborator, Julia Steele Allen, Mariposa brings her experience to the stage.

This performance will be followed by a dialogue featuring activists, advocates and survivors of solitary confinement working to end this torture in New York’s prisons and jails.
