Council Member Fernando Cabrera Will Join Police Precincts, Community Residents
For National Night Out

Council Member Fernando Cabrera will join the 44th, 46th, 50th and 52nd precincts and local residents from 3:00-8:00 PM to support police-community partnership.
“National Night Out brings communities and law enforcement together throughout the 50 states, US territories and military bases worldwide, said Cabrera. “Today we’re joining 16,000 communities and tens of millions of neighbors throughout the country with local police precincts to promote community partnership and neighborhood safety in a spirit of celebration.”
Public safety remains a top priority for Cabrera, who has provided $96,000 in the FY 2019 budget to install security cameras throughout District 14; $25,000 to the Bronx District Attorney for anti-gang, anti-violence and youth safety strategies; $25,000 to Good Shepherd Services for B.R.A.G. (Bronx Rises Against Gun Violence) and $15,000 for NYPD Precinct Council events in the 46th, 50th and 52nd precincts.
“I’m inviting all District 14 residents to join me, your neighbors and local precincts to help build safer communities in partnership with NYPD. More than 38 million participated in National Night Out in 2017,” said Cabrera. “Let’s make this an even bigger event in 2018.”
