Hull Avenue Shut Due to Waterline Break

Just days after a 4-alarm fire shut down a section of Hull Avenue, Hull Avenue was also shut between East 209 Street and East Gun Hill Road due to a flooding condition. The incident was reported as 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 24. Residents of both 3346 and 3348 Hull Avenue, two city owned buildings, reported they were without water for several days. Tara Deighan, a spokeswoman for the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, stated the flooding was due to “an issue with a private line” leading to the two six-story apartment buildings. Contractors patched the leak and the street eventually reopened.
