It was play ball in the Bronx Saturday morning with the official parade and opening of another season for the Castle Hill Little League. The official parade commenced at Castle Hill and Lafayette Avenues and concluded at the Castle Hill Little League Field.
Over 400 youngsters marched with coaches, parents, and volunteers in uniform. The league was initiated in 1965 and this year includes 32 teams of various ages. Guests at the parade and opening ceremonies included Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and his father Ruben Sr. Over the years they been two main supporters of the league.
