Friday Team Diaz 2020 distributed 500 boxes of assorted foods prepared by Fresh Direct outside Vidalia Park on East 180th Street in the West Farms area of the Bronx. Team Diaz 2020 is Councilman and candidate for the 15th Congressional District Ruben Diaz, John Perez candidate for the 32nd State Senate, George Alvarez candidate for the 79th Assembly District and Wanda Negron Judicial candidate. Team Diaz 2020 was joined by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., and dozens of volunteers from the Hispanic Clergy Coalition.
The long line of people went around the corner and down Daly Avenue for two blocks. Councilman Ruben Diaz, and 32nd State Senate candidate John Perez went down the long line of people waiting handing out additional face masks before the food giveaway began. After they handed out the face masks Councilman Ruben Diaz and State Senate candidate John Perez joined Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr, in handing out the boxes of food.
