TODAY: AS COVID CRISIS CONTINUES, ZETA CHARTER SCHOOLS HOSTS VIRTUAL MUSIC, DANCE, AND ARTS CELEBRATION
NEW YORK – As the COVID crisis continues impacting teaching and learning across New York City, Zeta Charter Schools – a high-performing, next-generation network of public charter schools in The Bronx and Inwood – will host a new virtual event today to spotlight student arts, dance, and poetry among its five to ten-year old students. Despite the distance created by the pandemic, the innovative event is aimed at bringing the school community together, where students will recite, celebrate, and perform African American poetry, dance routines, and artwork.
Zeta Charter Schools, which serves pre-K through 4th grade, provides unique offerings to its students, including Taekwondo, violin lessons, and chess. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Zeta teachers and educators have continued regular instruction of specialty activities while students were learning from home. Today’s event is a virtual celebration of the specialty program.
