Bronx Rising Initiative, known for vaccinating over 30,000 people in the Bronx, will be giving out 900 turkeys in total throughout 8 separate turkey giveaways in their continuous response to address food insecurity.
Four turkey giveaways are coming up this week, hosted at NYCHA centers and other community centers. Some will be in partnership with various community leaders, including Bronx Borough President-elect Vanessa Gibson.We would love it if you could help us to continue getting this information out to the community. Media is also invited to attend and speak with organizers and Bronx residents about the borough’s food insecurity issues.
