Mercy College Nursing Students Donate Time to Ensure PPE is Available to Health Systems Around the World |
Mercy College nursing students teamed up with a group of retired nurses from Mercy College to sort and pack personal protective equipment and medical supplies at the AFYA Foundation distribution warehouse in Yonkers, New York. The student nurses have been making weekly trips to Yonkers to complete their community health rotation while helping the AFYA Foundation accomplish its humanitarian mission. |

Maverick Magazine Fall 2021 Issue Published
The Mercy College Office of Alumni Relations is pleased to share the fall 2021 issue of Maverick Magazine which explores What it Means to be a First-Generation Student. Highlights from this issue include stories from our students, faculty, staff and alumni, many of whom identify as first-generation college students, and how they overcame obstacles to achieve their dreams. The magazine also includes stories on the successful return to campus amid the COVID-19 pandemic, alumni who were drawn back to Mercy to teach, and inspirational stories from alumnae Meisha Porter, M.S. ’03, H.D. ’20, former NYC Schools Chancellor, and Eileen Niedzwiecki CNR SAS ’72.
