Family Fun Day
Saturday, July 16, noon – 2 pm
Playground for All Children, Pelham Bay Park
Join NYC Parks, the Friends of Pelham Bay Park, and Westchester Square-Zerega Improvement Organization for two hours of family fun in Pelham Bay Park, featuring a performance of Simply Magic by John the Magnificent Magician, arts & crafts, face-painting, and more! All events and activities are free of charge.

Urban Park Rangers
The Urban Park Rangers are experts of the natural world. Let them guide you through the wonders of our park.
Seining
Saturday, July 16, 11 am
The experienced Urban Park Rangers teach the ecology of our waterways on every seining program. Use nets to catch fish. All equipment is provided; this program is recommended for ages 8 years and older. Participation is first-come, first-served.

Birding By Canoe Excursion (Advanced)
Saturday, July 30, 11 am
The trained Urban Park Rangers will lead you on canoe adventures that range from the gentle waters of protected lakes to the challenging open waters of rivers and bays. All canoe programs are for ages 8 years and older. Participants are chosen by lottery. Lottery registration opens on Wednesday, July 20. This program is for experienced paddlers.

NYC Parks Stewardship
Join the NYC Parks Stewardship team as they keep our parks healthy and beautiful.
Pelham Bay Park Mile-a-Minute Challenge
Friday, July 22, 9 am
Volunteer with the Stewardship Team to protect the forested areas in Pelham Bay Park! Volunteers will contribute to ongoing restoration work and learn the importance of species diversity to ecosystem health.
Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty. Face masks may be worn at your discretion.
