Opening night of the U.S. Open Arthur Ashe Stadium

New York City Mayor Eric Adams attended the opening night of the U.S. Open Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens. Adams was a guest of honor at the gala dinner and saw Serena Williams win her qualifying match to advance to the next round of the US Open. Williams, who announced her retirement from tennis earlier this month, is set to step away from the sport after the Open. She will face with #2-seed Anett Koveneit on Wednesday.
