On Monday, August 29, Camber Property Group, Assembly Member Latoya Joyner and the Highbridge Tenant Association partnered with the non-profit Humanity Optimism Opportunity & Diversity (HOOD) to co-host a back-to-school celebration for the families at the Highbridge Houses, a two-building complex managed by Camber.

The cosponsors distributed more than 160 backpacks filled with school supplies to local children to help them prepare for the upcoming year. In addition, barbers were on hand to provide children with a fresh haircut in advance of the first day of school and a DJ played music to get people moving.

“The turnout for this back-to-school event was tremendous, and we were able to help hundreds of young people from the Highbridge Houses get new supplies and be ready for the first day of school,” said Rick Gropper, Principal at Camber Property Group. “We are incredibly appreciative to our partners Assembly Member Latoya Joyner, the Highbridge Tenant Association and HOOD for making this event a success.”
