BRONX DISTRICT ATTORNEY DARCEL D. CLARK ANNOUNCES
HIRING OF 49 ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEYS
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark today announced the appointment of 49 new Assistant District Attorneys to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office.
District Attorney Clark said, “I am pleased to announce our new class of Assistant District Attorneys who have joined the Office to serve the great people of the Bronx. These new Assistant District Attorneys come from across the nation, as well as New York City. This diverse, highly motivated group of prosecutors will undergo months of training to continue our Office’s commitment of ‘Pursuing Justice with Integrity.’ With these new lawyers, and our current dedicated Assistant District Attorneys, we will do our best to keep the Bronx safe.”
The new class is made up of 24 females and 25 males, and some of them speak Haitian Creole, Spanish, Arabic and Japanese. The new Assistant District Attorneys undergo three months of training that includes classroom lectures on criminal court practice and professional responsibility, courtroom observation, demonstrations, workshops and experiential courtroom training.
