BRONX DISTRICT ATTORNEY DARCEL D. CLARK ANNOUNCES
HIRING OF 40 ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEYS
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark today announced the appointment of 40 new Assistant District Attorneys to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office who will serve the people of the Bronx by pursuing justice with integrity.
District Attorney Clark said, “This diverse class of Assistant District Attorneys will undergo vigorous training to ensure that they serve the Bronx community in the most professional, compassionate way. Alongside our experienced and dedicated staff, these new prosecutors will help us bring justice for victims and fairness to defendants while preserving public safety.”
The class is diverse coming from the top law schools in the New York area, as well as from across the nation. About 50% of the new ADAs are women.
Today marks the beginning of a three-month intensive training program consisting of lectures on criminal court practice and professional responsibility, observation of court proceedings, workshops and more.
