Letters To The Editor

To The Editor:
No one was more surprised than I was when I found out that in 1999 Donald Trump proposed the passage of a new “National Wealth Tax” of 14.25% on all individuals who have a net-wealth and net-worth of $10 million and higher.
In my opinion, this was a MORE “pro-liberal” and “pro-progressive” proposal than any national Democrat has made since the 1930s when Huey Long advocated for a large national wealth tax on the super-rich. It is certainly more “to the political left” of anything that Democrats like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have ever proposed.
I have to wonder how the tens of millions of today’s conservative-Republicans feel about their dream-boy having made such a socialist, communist, and Marxist proposal?
Sincerely,
Stewart
